Sonor Drums

The Sonor Drum Company has a reputation for being very expensive, and very well respected by many studio & pro drummers. Sonor's tagline was "The Drummers Drum". This was an allusion to the perfectionist way they constructed their drum shells. The drum shells were very thick (13mm) and heavy shells that were beech wood, with an innermost and outermost ply of furniture-grade veneers, such as rosewood and bubinga. The SONOR trademark, first registered in 1907, has become the hallmark of fine drums in nearly every country in the world.
